Car Parking

  • Event car parking is located on Pembridge Lane (Car Park 4) PLEASE SEE MAP BELOW

  • Paradise Wildlife Park Postcode: EN10 7QA

  • The car park is free and opens at 7.30am

  • Entry access to the car park is only via Wood Lane

  • The car park will be closed at 9.00am and from 10.15am access and egress will be limited to protect runners’ safety

  • Please car share wherever possible, or consider walking or cycling to the event

  • Cars will be directed out of the car park along Pembridge Lane and exiting via Brickendon Green or via White Stubbs Lane

  • Please take care of Runners when exiting the car park

  • Please do not park on local residential roads as this will congest the race route and upset our neighbours

  • If Car Park 4 is full you will be directed to additional parking


Route and Road Closures

  • The 1 mile Children and Family route takes place within Paradise Wildlife Park.

  • The route is on tarmac and is suitable for road shoes.

  • The 5k and 10k running event over multi terrain, including woodland trails, a wooden bridge, a 1km road section and some uneven surfaces; please wear suitable footwear for the multi-terrain nature of the course

  • Part of Pembridge Lane (from the corner of Wood House Lane to Broxbourne Woods East Car Park) will be closed from 9am until Midday.

  • Vehicles exiting the car park will do so under marshal guidance and will exit Pembridge Road via Brickendon Green or via White Stubs lane.

  • The car park reopens at 1015am so caution must be taken with runners on the road.




  • There will be no spectators allowed in Paradise Wildlife Park whilst the Children and Family 1 mile event takes place.

  • Spectators are allowed in Broxbourne Woods but we would encourage spectators to go to Broxbourne Woods West Car Park and watch from there as you will see runners several times.



  • The Refreshments stall opens at 8.00am , selling a variety of snacks - including tea, soft drinks on a cash basis

  • We cannot guarantee that the food is free from nuts or other allergens



  • The bag drop is free and opens from 8.00am

  • We cannot accept responsibility for any loss or suspected theft and items are left at owners risk


Toilets and Changing Facilities

  • Toilets and changing facilities are available at Race Village

  • We do not have access to shower facilities


Paradise Wildlife Park Access

  • Paradise Wildlife Park is closed to the Public until 0930am. You can only enter the park with a valid ticket from 0930am

  • Each race entrant will be given a Park discount (30% pre book / 15% on day). We would encourage all runners after the event to come and enjoy the Park. The code is limited to one single use and cannot be shared or used by non runners. We have the right to refuse discount.


First Aid

  • First aid will be at Paradise Wildlife Park First Aid room located at the Welcome Centre. Paradise Wildlife Park has First Aid trained staff.

  • First aid will be available at Broxbourne Woods HQ located at the Water and Aid Station Broxbourne Woods West Car Park (2.5km)



  • Water will be available at the Start/Finish

  • There will be a Water and Aid station located at Broxbourne Woods West Car Park. Runners will pass this station twice for the 5k and four times on the 10k.

  • There will be water available on the 1 mile route


Disabled Access

  • The Race HQ has access for people with disabilities

  • The 1 mile route is suitable for racers with disabilities. However, before registering for the race, disabled racers should contact the race secretary to discuss their situation. We will do everything we can to accommodate racers needs

  • The 5k and 10k race is a multi-terrain (including trail and uneven ground) route and may not be suitable for all. Before registering for the race, disabled racers should contact the race secretary to discuss their situation. We will do everything we can to accommodate racers needs.

  • We cannot provide guides or sign language interpreters. Any guides or support runners would need to sign up and pay for place to accompany a runner
