The Saucony Hurricane 25 is the latest iteration of Saucony’s premium max-stack daily trainer with stability features baked in—but not overdone. Initially, I wasn’t even going to review this shoe. The changes from version 24 are relatively minor, and to be honest, it didn’t seem like there was much to say. But after wearing it casually, to the gym, and on a few runs, it reminded me just how solid this shoe really is.
Specs & Features
Price: £165
Weight: 315g (UK 9.5)
Stack: 38mm heel / 32mm forefoot
Drop: 6mm
Midsole: PWRRUN PB
Stability System: PWRRUN Frame (chassis)
Upper: New engineered mesh
Outsole: Updated with added flex grooves for smoother transitions
Fit: True to size
The PWRRUN PB midsole, the same used in the Triumph 23, offers a plush, lively ride. Combined with the PWRRUN Frame, you get a shoe that isn’t technically labeled as a stability shoe—but is inherently stable. That makes it great for runners who mildly pronate or heel strike and want a little extra structure underfoot without being boxed into the stability category.
Ride & Comfort
This shoe is extremely smooth and very comfortable. The wide platform and soft-yet-bouncy foam make it ideal for easy miles, recovery runs, and general cruising. While it's not a lightweight option, it does a brilliant job at what it sets out to do—offer stability, comfort, and reliability in a max-stack build.
Frankly, I’d take this over the Brooks Ghost Max 3. It just fits me better and moves more naturally. It won’t "blow the doors off" your tempo days, but it’s not trying to. What it offers is a consistent, protected ride with a premium feel.
Who It’s For
If you’re:
A heavier runner looking for comfort and support
Mildly overpronating or heel striking
Logging a lot of easy miles
In need of a durable daily trainer with a touch of guidance
